Alex serves as the Program Lead, Results at Scale at Scale for the Built for Zero Collaborative. Previously, she worked as a Systems Improvement Advisor, responsible for supporting a cohort of communities in achieving population-level reductions in homelessness and driving progress on other key, population-level measures. Prior to joining Community Solutions, Alex took on roles to support and lead system enhancement efforts focused on service provision and approach to homelessness in Abilene, Texas. With aims to reach functional zero for veteran and chronic populations, Alex assisted in strengthening community commitment and support through programming, data validity, systems change, and advocacy. During her time serving Abilene, Alex developed and piloted Permanent Supportive Housing programming for Taylor County (resulting in securing a funded PSH project) and assisted in leading the pilot of Diversion efforts for the state of Texas. Alex holds both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in social work from Abilene Christian University and is a licensed social worker who truly believes in the success of humanity.
