As Built for Zero’s Youth Improvement Advisor, Ramina supports communities and partners in ending youth homelessness. Prior to joining Community Solutions, Ramina spent three years working toward ending homelessness in DC. While at the DC Alliance of Youth Advocates, Ramina was a voting member of the DC Continuum of Care’s governing board and co-chaired its Youth Committee. In that role, Ramina spearheaded efforts to ensure that youth with lived experience of homelessness lead the city’s work to end youth homelessness. Ramina also lead advocacy efforts that more than doubled local investment in youth homelessness resources, and they co-lead efforts that resulted in national awards. Prior to their work at DCAYA, Ramina headed a successful pilot project to create, implement, and sustain a housing navigation program at HIPS, an organization serving individuals and communities impacted by sexual exchange and/or drug use. Ramina holds a BS in math from UCLA and a JD from Georgetown University.
