Honora is a Systems Improvement Advisor, for Healthcare/ Public Health Team within Built for Zero. This is a pilot role that works among both the Healthcare and Homelessness systems, as a collaborative effort to guide health systems in optimizing their resources to drive reductions in homelessness across a community. Honora brings with her a wealth of knowledge gained from her tenure working with the National Healthcare for Homeless Council through her local community health center. She has established a presence by collaborating with several initiatives to reduce chronic homelessness. Through this, she has gained a reputation in her community as a leader in homeless solutions among youth & veterans, and is an active board member on her local Continuum of Care.

Honora has mastered the importance of challenging the status quo and pushing boundaries to create positive change and well versed in navigating complex challenges and finding innovative solutions with a blend of grit, wit, and a compassionate heart.

Honora grew up on the MS Gulf Coast, and currently resides in Wiggins MS with her family. She is the recipient of the National Health Care for the Homeless 2021 HCH Clinicians’ Network Rotonda Award for Outstanding Services, hold a Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Psychology from the University of Southern Miss, and a United States Navy Veteran.
