Kuziva is the Systems Improvement Advisor, Large-Scale Change on the Large Scale Change team in the Programs Department. In this role, she will be responsible for supporting the formation and sustainability of state and regional backbone teams and strategies, leading systems change, and activating leaders to achieve racially equitable, population-level reductions in homelessness.Kuziva joins Community Solutions with a strong background in public health and a passion Previously, she served as a Health Equity Analyst at the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services for 4 years. In this role, she provided technical assistance on immunization initiatives, focusing on enhancing data and policy effectiveness through a health equity lens. Her work involved analyzing health equity challenges, enhancing data, and improving data collection, to improve outbreak response, for clinical decision support and to reduce barriers in access to vaccines to underserved, vulnerable and marginalized communities.

Before her tenure at the Department of Health and Human Services, Kuziva gained valuable experience at the Michigan Fitness Foundation and the Kalamazoo County Health Department as She holds a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration from Baker College and a Master of Public Health from the University of Michigan with a focus on Population Health & Health Sciences and she is currently pursuing a Master of Public Administration with a focus on Social and Public Policy at the University of Michigan. Kuziva recently discovered a great need for advocacy for women experiencing domestic violence in Southern Africa and is currently working towards launching a campaign to educate and empower women through providing resources, support to help women gain independence and rebuild their lives.

Outside of work, Kuziva enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, playing tennis, staying active, and reading self development books. In her free time, when she’s relieved from her parenting duties to her 15, 13, and 9 year old, she enjoys exploring new cities, traveling the world, and learning about different cultures and traditions.
