Rachel is a Data Coach and Performance Advisor on the Built for Zero team. Prior to joining Community Solutions, Rachel worked as a part of Nashville’s homelessness response for over seven years, most recently as HMIS Manager for the Nashville-Davidson County Continuum of Care. In this role, she collaborated with community partners to create systems and strengthen processes around data and reporting, significantly increasing the accuracy and frequency of publicly reported homelessness data in the city. Rachel also spent some time as a Business Analyst with the Tennessee Department of Mental Health, supporting the work of state-funded inpatient psychiatric facilities and using data to advocate for additional patient resources, including housing options. She has an obsession with making data actionable and helping social service programs operate effectively with client-focused care

Rachel obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from Pepperdine University and her Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Tennessee. When she isn’t working, she enjoys pop culture, podcasts, walks, making sourdough, and spending time with her husband and dogs.
