The Horsepower Behind Hartford

There are people forging ahead, with or without corporate support, with or without a rebranding campaign, and committing themselves and their money to tangible projects in Hartford. Today you’ll meet some of the people we think are the real difference makers. Frankly, Hartford doesn’t have the same level of human and intellectual capital that New Haven has, but we’re not as far behind as some people think.

Rosanne is the founder of Common Ground, the innovative non-profit focused on finding solutions for homelessness, and founded Community Solutions, an organization that takes the work of Common Ground to a national level.

In Hartford, Common Ground has successfully refurbished the Hollander, turning it into an affordable housing complex, and Community Solutions is currently converting the former M.Swift & Sons gold plating facility in Hartford’s North End neighborhood into mixed-use workspace.
