A Shared Agenda to Reduce Homelessness

Communities are housing people every day. Your progress shows what it takes to reduce homelessness and make it rare, brief, and nonrecurring. But no single organization or intervention can do it alone. We need communities working toward a shared goal, with housing, homelessness response, healthcare, business, and other partners acting as one team.

We support a Solutions Agenda built on three interconnected priorities:

  1. Enough housing for people at every income level. Communities have a range of housing options so that all their residents have a safe place to live
  2. A response system accountable for results. There is a dedicated team coordinating the work, maintaining accurate by-name data on those needing help with housing, and regularly tracking outcomes to help communities house people every day, see where progress is stalling, and change course quickly.
  3. Help when people need it. Healthcare, employment, and other supports are  available to help people get housed and stay housed.

These priorities work together. By adding my name, I support this shared approach and its use to guide conversations, decisions, and action in our community.
