Rachel is a System Improvement Advisor at Community Solutions on the Built for Zero team. In this role, she supports communities in the Housing Stabilization Learning Cohort to develop, deliver, document and disseminate best practices in preventing homelessness. She brings over fifteen years of experience in community mental health and affordable housing, convening diverse stakeholders, improving systems, and leading teams. Prior to joining Community Solutions, Rachel led the Chapel Hill / Orange County, NC Continuum of Care where she developed and implemented process and system improvements and provided training and technical assistance to homeless service providers. She has worn numerous hats with the US Department of Veterans Affairs in NYC and Durham, NC, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and in the non-profit sector all focused on achieving an enduring and equitable end to homelessness.
Rachel received her Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice and Psychology from University of Delaware and her Master of Science in Social Work from Columbia University.
