Maddy Troha is the Campaign External Communications Manager at Community Solutions, where she helps to shift the public narrative on homelessness toward solutions, accountability, and measurable reductions in unsheltered homelessness. She uses her passion for storytelling to amplify the voices that often go unheard.
Before coming to Community Solutions, she spent several years supporting nonprofits and foundations across the progressive space. Though her work spanned climate change to child care and early education to gun violence prevention, she’s most proud of her extensive efforts to advance and protect reproductive rights following the fall of Roe and to champion mental health policies at the state and federal levels.
Maddy holds a B.A. in History from Vanderbilt University and an M.A. in American Studies from Brown University. A near-Chicago native, she is constantly talking up the Midwest, Portillos, and the Bears at any given time.
