Before joining Community Solutions, Lakecia worked as Equity Coordinator for the Healthy Communities and Advancing Equity Programs at the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, where she spearheaded the creation of organizational equity action plans and the implementation of health equity policies. Prior to that, she also worked at Forsyth County Department of Public Health, Interactive Resource Center and Triad Health Project in healthcare program management and advocacy roles.

Lakecia is a humanist, diversity, equity, and inclusion practitioner, and a change agent who is passionate about advancing racial equity and justice for historically marginalized and underserved populations through policy and systems-change work and advocacy.
