Rosanne Haggerty believes that by walking the streets of a neighborhood and meeting homeless people one by one, she builds the foundation to help them find homes. She’s done it before – in Times Square – and is now working on creating new housing in Brownsville, Brooklyn. She is working with former NBA star Greg Jackson, a Brownsville native and activist, who walks us through the neighborhood, remembering what it was like when it was flourishing.
We are proud to announce that the MacArthur Foundation has awarded $100 million to accelerate the impact of Built for Zero. Learn more.
